Smoking Squirrel

I wanted to just make a note here about something odd I saw yesterday as I took my morning walk. There are many squirrels in my town, but that day I saw one doing something very odd.

I was strolling down the street when I caught a glimpse of a squirrel on the far side of a tree trunk. It had a cigarette in it's mouth.

Now I now what you're thinking, it just picked up a cigarette but and was carrying it in it's mouth. This is indeed likely, but I find it unusually for squirrels to put objects in their mouths if they are not nuts. I never saw the squirrel again, so you can draw your own conclusions, but I know what I saw.

Dragon Spirit

Sorry I've been gone for so long, but all will be revealed in due time.

I'd like to take a second to point out a tragedy on the Wii Virtual Console. Dragon Spirit. The NES game was my favorite when I was a boy. I loved that game line no other. However, the version that appeared on the VC is the Turbo Graphix version, the arcade port.

While not bad, the arcade version was overly difficult and focused on trying to suck as many quarters out of you as possible. The NES port had branching paths, characters, cinematics, faster moving levels, lots of fun power-ups and a user-friendly difficulty curve. The Turbo version had none of these.

It saddens me that we might not get to download the NES version because the Turbo version has been released.

If you can find this NES cart, and if you're any friend to shooters or games with dragons in them, pick it up!

VG cats is wrong

There seems to be an opinion floating around my fav webcomic vgcats.com that the Transformers movie was no good. This is a heinous lie! And remember kids; heinous rhymes with anus!

The Transformers movies was better than a hot date with a supermodel and a smack in the face with a kitten rolled into one! I hate when cartoonist only focus on the negatives.

But yeah, the game was a little... yeah.
